TOP 10 Best Hotels & Resorts in the Seychelles 2025
The Seychelles is one of the most enchanting destinations in the world. With its granite boulders, powdery beaches, lush palm trees, and sparkling lagoons, it is often considered the very definition of paradise.
Yet while every island in this archipelago is beautiful in its own way, not every resort delivers the same level of experience. Some properties go far beyond the basics of luxury, combining spectacular natural beauty, impeccable service, and unique signature experiences that make them truly stand out.
In this ranking, we share our carefully curated list of the 10 best hotels and resorts in the Seychelles in 2025. This ranking highlights the most exclusive and highly recommended properties across the islands, places where honeymooners, families, and adventure seekers alike can enjoy a dream escape.

What makes a resort in the Seychelles stand out?
When looking for the best hotels in the Seychelles, it’s worth keeping in mind that not all resorts are created equal. Some islands boast breathtaking stretches of sand with no seaweed or groynes, while others struggle with erosion or rocky shorelines. The most beautiful and highly rated resorts tend to combine several key factors:
Pristine beaches: Fine, white sand and turquoise water free from seaweed or groynes.
Seclusion and exclusivity: Smaller resorts often feel more personal and private. This is something very common in the Seychelles where many hotels will be located on a private island (Fregate, North Island, Cheval Blanc, Six Senses Zil Pasyon,…)
Authentic design: Villas and facilities that blend with nature rather than dominate it.
World-class dining: From fine dining to beach barbecues, the best hotels in Seychelles offer consistently exceptional food.
Unique experiences: Whether it’s hiking through lush jungle, diving remote reefs, or dining under the stars, special activities elevate a stay.
Ease of access: Some properties require complex transfers, while others are located on the main island or just a short helicopter hop from Mahé.
This ranking focuses on the properties that combine all these aspects, giving travelers not only a luxurious room but a truly unforgettable stay. If you’re also considering planning a trip to the Maldives, take a look at the 10 best resorts in the Maldives.
Top 10 best resorts in the Seychelles
It’s now time to jump into our ranking of the best and most recommended luxury resorts in the Seychelles for 2025.
1. Fregate Island
Currently closed, reopening planned for 2026
Before closing in 2022 for a full renovation, Fregate Island was widely regarded as the most exclusive resort in the Seychelles and really our #1 favorite.
With only 16 villas on the entire island, guests practically had an entire paradise to themselves. Each villa came with a private pool, sweeping ocean views, their own buggy to explore the beautiful island and a dedicated butler.
The Banyan Hill Estate, a multi-bedroom residence, was among the most sought-after accommodations in the Indian Ocean.
What made Fregate so extraordinary was its seven pristine beaches, each one more stunning than the last. It wasn’t uncommon for guests to be dropped off at a beach with a cooler and radio, ensuring complete privacy until they chose to return.
Fregate was also renowned for its conservation work. The island is home to thousands of Aldabra giant tortoises, rare bird species, and rich marine life. Sustainable practices, organic gardens, and eco-education were part of the guest experience.
When it reopens in 2026, expectations are sky-high. If it lives up to its reputation, Fregate will once again be the best resort in the Seychelles for travelers seeking total seclusion, natural beauty, and ultra-luxury.

2. North Island
On second position of the best resorts in the Seychelles for 2025 comes North Island.
Few names carry as much weight as North Island, long considered one of the most iconic properties in the Indian Ocean. Famous for hosting royal honeymoons and A-list celebrities, it has only 11 villas, each measuring hundreds of square meters and crafted with wood, stone, and glass to blend into the environment.
The philosophy here is “barefoot luxury” like some resorts in the Maldives such as Soneva Jani or Gili Lankanfushi. Guests arrive by helicopter and are invited to forget shoes altogether.
Dining is personalized, there’s no set menu. Instead, the chef tailors meals to each guest, using produce from the island’s organic gardens.
Beaches here are postcard-perfect, framed by granite boulders and lush jungle. Conservation plays a big role too: North Island has been rewilded after decades of exploitation, and guests can see the results in the abundant birdlife and pristine reefs.
For those who want absolute privacy and exclusivity, North Island is one of our most recommended resorts in the Seychelles.

3. Cheval Blanc Seychelles
The arrival of Cheval Blanc Seychelles, part of LVMH’s luxury portfolio, marked a new chapter for the archipelago. Located on Sainte Anne Island, just off the coast of Mahé, this resort blends French art de vivre with the raw beauty of the Seychelles.
Villas are spacious, with private pools, airy interiors, and direct beach access. The design is chic and contemporary while still incorporating Creole influences. The Guerlain Spa offers exclusive treatments, adding to the sense of indulgence.
Guests can expect personalized service, haute cuisine, and a glamorous atmosphere. For travelers who value cutting-edge luxury brands, Cheval Blanc Seychelles is already considered one of the best hotels in the Seychelles and will only keep getting better as time goes.

4. Six Senses Zil Pasyon
On the wild and dramatic Félicité Island, Six Senses Zil Pasyon is as much a visual spectacle as it is a resort. Granite boulders rise from turquoise waters, jungle covers the hillsides, and beaches feel untouched.
The resort features just 30 villas, each with an infinity pool seemingly merging with the ocean. We particularly loved how spread the villas are on the property. Your closest neighbor might be 30 to 50 meters away from your villa, which is really amazing for maximum privacy.
The Six Senses brand is famous for sustainability, and here it’s clear: organic produce, eco-conscious construction, and wellness programs are central to the experience.
Beyond relaxation, the resort offers hiking trails, water sports, cinema under the stars, and excursions to neighboring islands like La Digue. The spa is built among the rocks, creating a dramatic setting for treatments. This is maybe one of the most beautiful spas we’ve ever seen!
For travelers looking for both wellness and adventure, this is one of the best resorts in the Seychelles and arguably the most visually striking.

5. Anantara Maia
Located on the main island of Mahé, Anantara Maia offers seclusion while still being relatively easy to access. With only 30 villas, it emphasizes privacy and personalization.
Each villa comes with its own infinity pool overlooking Anse Louis, along with a dedicated butler (we actually had TWO buttlers when we stayed there, but not sure if it still the case today). The concept is “Beyond All-Inclusive,” meaning guests can enjoy meals and drinks anywhere, anytime, without restrictions. It is not as crazy that what we’ve seen in our review of Kudadoo Maldives, but it is still a really great all-inclusive package with pretty amazing value for money.
The spa offers open-air pavilions surrounded by nature, and couples can indulge in beachside candlelit dinners or yoga sessions with ocean views.
For honeymooners, Anantara Maia is one of the most highly rated hotels in the Seychelles, balancing intimacy with convenience.

6. Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island
Let’s continue this top 10 of the best luxury resorts in the Seychelles with an other big name: Four Seasons!
Desroches Island lies a 35-minute flight from Mahé, offering guests a sense of being completely cut off from the world. The Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island is the only property on the island, which has 14 kilometers of pristine beaches.
The resort features 71 villas and suites, all with private pools and large outdoor living spaces. Guests can explore the island by bicycle, discovering secluded beaches, turtle nesting sites, and nature trails.
The dive center is outstanding, offering access to some of the Seychelles’ least explored reefs. Families will love the kids’ club and the variety of activities, while couples can enjoy the spa or private beach picnics.
For those seeking a true castaway luxury experience, Desroches is one of the best resorts in the Seychelles and will give you a true feeling of Maldives. If you’re hesitating between the two destinations, you can read our comparison between the Maldives vs the Seychelles here.

7. Four Seasons Resort Seychelles (Mahé)
Perched on the hillside overlooking Petite Anse on Mahé, this Four Seasons property is one of the most photographed hotels in the country. Villas are built into the hillside, offering sweeping ocean views and complete privacy.
Each villa includes a private pool, outdoor shower, and interiors inspired by local Creole design. The spa sits atop the hill, offering panoramic sunset views that make treatments even more relaxing.
What really delivers at Four Seasons Mahé is the level of service. As very often with Four Seasons, the service is absolutely excellent. People are going above and beyond to make sure that you are having the most amazing stay. Also, when rare issues happen (like a buggy taking way too long to arrive), they jump on the opportunity to instantly offer great service recovery (cf complimentary massage for 2, which happened to us).
Conveniently close to the international airport, this is one of the best hotels in the Seychelles for travelers who want luxury without long transfers. It’s also family-friendly, with kids’ activities and babysitting services available.

8. Constance Lemuria
An other highly recommended luxury resort in the Seychelles is Constance Lemuria.
On Praslin Island, Constance Lemuria is a legendary resort thanks to its proximity to Anse Lazio, one of the world’s most famous beaches. But, closer to this, you will have Anse Georgette, which is for us one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
The resort is built with natural materials: stone, wood, and thatch, blending beautifully into the lush surroundings.
It features suites and villas, but its unique claim to fame is the 18-hole championship golf course, the only one in the Seychelles. Golfers consider it a bucket-list destination.
Dining options are varied and of SUPER high quality (for the price, Constance Lemuria really impressed us with the quality of the food, particularly the buffets), and the resort caters equally well to couples and families.
For those who want a balance of adventure, relaxation, and elegance, Constance Lemuria remains one of the most recommended resorts in the Seychelles and definitely the best resort on Praslin island.

9. Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island
Waldorf Astoria has brought its signature luxury to Platte Island, located about 130 kilometers south of Mahé. The resort offers 50 villas, ranging from one to five bedrooms, each with sleek contemporary interiors and large private pools.
The island itself is a marine sanctuary, home to turtles, rays, and reef sharks. Guests can expect both sophistication and eco-conscious experiences, from fine dining to conservation-focused activities.
With its remote location and pristine environment, Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island is already considered one of the top new hotels in the Seychelles, especially for eco-conscious luxury travelers.

10. Raffles Seychelles
Last but not least in this ranking of the best hotels and resorts in the Seychelles, Raffles is still an excellent option to consider.
Set on Praslin Island, Raffles Seychelles is a hillside property with some of the largest villas in the country, each featuring a private plunge pool and panoramic views.
The resort is renowned for its exceptional service. Butlers ensure every detail is perfect, while the dining options range from beachside grills to gourmet international cuisine. Couples often opt for private in-villa dinners on their terraces.
Its location near Curieuse Island makes it a great base for excursions, whether snorkeling with turtles or hiking through lush national parks. Raffles blends modern design with natural beauty, making it one of the best resorts in the Seychelles for those who value privacy and space.
